Market your website

Now that you have built and tested your website, I would like you to market it. Let’s say that your budget is NOK 10 000 (or 1800 $ US).

For my website, I would probably focus on marketing in social media and on the internet. I would use the budget to target a younger audience, and create interest on social media with some form of viral video, or ad campaign. For the site, the target audience is both tourists from another countries, but also people that live in Norway, in other cities. It should be made to appeal to all age demographics if possible.

Advertising (Budget 1)

Budget: NOK 10 000 / 1800 $ US

As advertising in the local newspaper is really expensive, I would use most of my budget on Google ads and advertising on Facebook and Instagram. I could also use some money to sponsor a blogger or an influencer with a trip or something like that.

Newsletter: NOK 0

Facebook/Instagram: NOK 3000

Google ads: NOK 4000

Magazine: NOK 0

Local newspaper: NOK 0

Social Media/Bloggers: NOK 3000 (Rest of the budget)

TOTAL COST: NOK 10 000

Advertising (Budget 2)

Budget: NOK 10 000 / 1800 $ US

For this budget, I would just allocate more to the same areas, but also using some for advertising in a magazine, like a travel magazine.

Newsletter: NOK 0

Facebook/Instagram: NOK 8000

Google ads: NOK 5000

Magazine: NOK 2000

Local newspaper: NOK 0

Social Media/Bloggers: NOK 5000 (Rest of the budget)

TOTAL COST: NOK 20 000

Viral idea:

I envisioned gathering a group of people for a flash mob, doing it on different places in Stavanger, to show of the city while still having a fun video.
